I had tried to track down a copy of this book from two different library systems - Orange County and the huge LA County Library and was unable to check out the book because it was restricted to their reference section. Amazon directed me to a seller, Second Hand Miracles, that sold the book for less than what it cost to ship it! It took 12 agonizing days to get it, (my impatience?), but it arrived on my doorstep in perfect condition - no dents, scratches, marks, notes - nothing but beautiful dust jacket, cover and page after heavy page of astonishing photos. The book, by the way is The Body Book: A fantastic Voyage to the World Within, by David Bodanis. Amazon is a bibliophile's dream come true, and Second Hand Miracles is aptly named. Thank you so very much!

Azure Road Map!

I work in a datacenter and knowing about product offerings is what keeps you moving forward, Azure is huge and highly scalable. I use VMware on a daily basis and while I really enjoy using the product, I feel they need to work on their future with developers to stay current. This book guides you into setting up Azure Pack from start to nearly finished, you'll want to expand on this setup but it get's you going in the right direction. Recommend this book to anyone who is tech savy and enjoys getting hands on.

comprehensive introduction to cloud computing using Microsoft's enterprise technologies. Increasing business demands are making it
impractical to invest in expensive computing hardware that will probably be obsolete in a few years. Instead of incurring heavy
expenses due to these mandatory hardware refresh cycles every few years, businesses and organizations are realizing the benefits
of increased efficiency and unsurpassed scalability of cloud computing. Microsoft's Azure cloud is a serious contender in this
field. Windows Azure Pack (WAP, in conjunction with Windows Server, SQL Server and System Center) brings the same technology
running Microsoft's massive cloud data centers within the reach of entities interested in running their own private cloud or
providing various cloud services. First few chapters of this book deal with planning considerations and best practices advice.
After that, the author jumps right into the meaty stuff with step by step instructions on installing and configuring the various
WAP components. Extra emphasis is put on network virtualization and software defined storage because the practical implementation
of these concepts is crucial to isolating multitenant virtual machines from each other and providing them with fault tolerant
storage capacity. After discussing the hardcore technical steps, the author shows how your cloud service will look like from the
customer's perspective. It would be insane to say that this is the only book you will need considering the sheer breadth and scope of the subject but it sure is a damn good one.
